Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.

Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.

In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 300 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.

dUTIES

  • Design and optimize RF systems and components for satellite telecom payloads (transponders, antennas, SSPA, frequency converters, depending on experience and willingness to learn)
  • Support all aspects of the development chain: requirements, architecture, design, manufacturing, integration, test, operations
  • Develop test plans that ensure adequate testing of units and the complete system
  • Work on RF / telecommunication spacecraft architecture with various teams (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software, FPGA).
  • Support design reviews to ensure requirements and interface compliance
  • Work closely with external providers of telecommunication systems to review designs, identify, and resolve issues and develop integration and test approaches
  • Execute in-lab testing and on-orbit performance validation, using advanced RF measurement tools (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators).

MUST HAVE

  • MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunication systems, RF electronics or antenna
  • Experience with RF simulation and modeling tools (e.g. HFSS, ADS).
  • Experience with RF design and manufacturing (PCB, waveguide, ...).
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers).
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across teams and company to drive multi-disciplinary projects to completion
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English

  • A passion for technology and rapid execution of sophisticated space missions
  • Knowledge of telecommunication payloads and standards
  • Knowledge of software-defined radios (SDR) and digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Experience with scripting language (Python)
  • Experience in space industry
