Your mission

Prepare, design and execute tests for prototypes of opto-mechatronic systems, as well as the test data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting. Especially applied (but not limited to) space equipment.
You use the testing equipment available and adapt it to specific tests, especially in the context of space qualification (e.g. use of thermal vacuum chambers, thermal chambers or shakers).
This will also include a large design work for test equipment, assist in prototype development, operations etc
Extending the capabilities of our test facilities or building entirely new test setups is part of your job.
You provide input to the rest of the team from a testing perspective and feed their input back

Must have

MSc in University Degree in electromechanical engineering (preferred), electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
Open to juniors: no previous work experience required, but a strong motivation to learn and work on multidisciplinary tasks.
Knowledge or experience/interest in environmental testing
- Measurement concepts and tools and their application in practice
- Data acquisition and measurement automation
- Data analysis, plotting and reporting
Knowledge of a scripting language like Python, C++,…
Hands-on abilities and adaption skills.

Nice to have

Experience with optical components and systems: laser diodes, optical fibers (principles and handling), photodiodes…
Interest in optical systems
Experience with thermal and vacuum, or vibration tests is beneficial
Experience in space-oriented AITV processes
Good organization and planification skills
