About Aerospacelab
Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.
Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.
In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 300 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.
Role Overview
As a Facility Security Officer, you will operate across our various sites (Louvain-la-Neuve, Mont-Saint-Guibert, Liège, and Marcinelle). Your mission is to protect our infrastructure, assets, and personnel, while ensuring a secure and safe environment. Supporting the Facility Security Manager, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our security procedures and help reinforce a strong internal security culture.
key responsabilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and promptly report any suspicious activity.
- Identify and recommend changes to improve our security operations.
- Manage the main switchboard: answer calls courteously and route them efficiently.
- Assist employees and visitors with professionalism and respect.
- Maintain accurate logs for all visitors and contractors.
- Report operational failures or incidents without delay.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Conduct routine patrols to detect intrusions and verify the security of premises (doors, windows, gates).
- Demonstrate adaptability in schedules and tasks; excel both independently and in team settings.

- Strong understanding of modern security protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency with security equipment and technologies (CCTV, radios, computers, access control software).
- Project Management skills to be able to follow external suppliers for product implementation
- Ability to write clear incident reports and assist in emergency planning.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to create and develop good professional working relationships.

must have
- Valid general security competency certificate.
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
- Highly organized and structured.
- Open to take responsibilities and ownership.
- Anticipation and proactivity.
Nice to have
- Minimum 7 years of relevant security experience.
- Background in the industrial sector is a major advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiar with Genetec and/or Vanderbilt systems.
- Familiar with drawing tools to design & implement security features
- N/EU/NATO Habilitation
