About Aerospacelab

Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.

Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.

In 2026, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 400 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.

Your mission

Reporting to the Head of Finance in a flat organisation, you will take an active role in the Group consolidation with the support of external consultants. This is a newly created position: the consolidation has been set-up for the first exercise in 2025 — your role is to run it and make it scale along with the growth of the company.

You will act as the central point of contact between our external auditors, our IFRS advisors and our local finance teams. In parallel, you will review the accounting operations by designing and rolling out internal controls, raising the bar on reporting quality, and standardizing practices across entities in France, Belgium, Switzerland and the United States.

We expect you to be curious, pragmatic and proactive: someone who takes initiative, challenges the status quo and brings concrete improvements to the table.

Key responsibilities

  • Run the quarterly and annual consolidation process under IFRS across all Group entities (France, Belgium, Switzerland, United States), with the support of external consultants
  • Operate, maintain and continuously improve the Group consolidation tool: mappings, intercompany reconciliations, FX, eliminations and reporting packages
  • Review and assess the accounting operations across subsidiaries by designing, rolling out and monitoring internal controls
  • Improve the quality, reliability and timeliness of Group financial reporting
  • Act as the central point of contact between local finance teams, external auditors and external IFRS consultants; coordinating requests, deliverables and timelines
  • Maintain and evolve the Group accounting manual and consolidation guidelines under IFRS
  • Standardise closing practices and chart-of-accounts mapping across entities to ensure consistency and comparability
  • Contribute to the transformation of the Finance team as Aerospacelab scales — bringing automation, AI tools, structure and clarity to how we work

Must have

  • A degree in accounting, finance or audit
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, finance, external audit, and/or with an appetite for consolidation and group reporting, ideally in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
  • Interest to work in different accounting standards (Be Gaap, IFRS)
  • Fluency in French and English, written and spoken
  • Strong communication skills — able to interact with auditors, consultants and local finance teams with the same clarity
  • A structured, rigorous and organized approach to your work
  • The autonomy to take ownership and the appetite for responsibility — you set the pace, you drive the topic
  • A pragmatic, proactive mindset and a real taste for initiative

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience running a consolidation process is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of Anaplan — a strong plus, particularly on the consolidation / financial reporting side
  • Hands-on experience with Odoo
  • Previous experience in a scale-up environment
  • Exposure to an industrial sector — space, aviation or production is a strong asset
