Role overview

Ensuring products from vendors and suppliers meet quality standards and follow company and manufacturing regulations

Developing and maintaining strong, trust-based partnerships with both local & international suppliers

Supporting our suppliers’ growth throughout the entire process. From product development to production preparation and into mass production in the areas of safety, quality and productivity

Defining supplier product assurance requirements based on Aerospacelab’s customer requirements and company policies, and monitoring their implementation

Perform on-site and remote system and process quality reviews and audits at potential and existing suppliers

Monitor and support suppliers’ product and project compliance to the requirements

Review First Article Inspection and Lot Acceptance Testing process and results in accordance with applicable standards

Verify that "Off the Shelf" products are compliant with their specifications

Planning relevant follow-ups and audits with suppliers to ensure orders to be delivered on time, on quality and in-full, supported by setting up appropriate KPI’s

Identifying day-to-day procurement risk, escalate concerns in a timely manner and support development of efficient countermeasures

Track supplier quality metrics

Track and manage all anomalies, NCs, RFDs and RFWs detected by our suppliers or on supplier products

Being quality point of contact in Aerospacelab’s Suppliers Management team

Continuously promote innovations and improvements by collecting supplier feedback and lessons learned after major mission phases

Must have

  • MSc degree in aerospace or production engineering or related field. Or equivalent by experience in product assurance or manufacturing discipline
  • 3+ years of experience as Product Assurance engineer, Quality Assurance engineer or Supplier Manager
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment
  • Good English knowledge
  • Very good organization skills and ability to prioritize and manage several activities in parallel
  • Thoroughness
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Nice to have 

  • Familiarity with ECSS/ISO 9001 standards
  • Experience in aerospace or automotive processes management
  • Experience in non-conformance management and root case investigation
  • Odoo ERP knowledge
  • Experience in reading and interpreting technical schematics
