Key responsibilities
You are the guarantor of the mechanical design and technical feasibility of the products entrusted.
You provide the expected deliverables (design – drawings set) while ensuring that the tools put in place at the design office are applied (rules, checklist, etc.).
You contribute to the improvements and development of the design office.
Duties
- Understand and integrate the various technical constraints of a project and translate them into a feasible product that meets the desired functions
- Design of complex mechanical assemblies (telescopes, space applications, "vacuum" applications, etc.)
- Product tree management in collaboration with the ELM engineer of the project
- Understand the manufacturing processes to determine the most efficient way to produce the drawn part and know how to adapt the part to the manufacturing possibilities
- Produce the drawings sets containing the technical information necessary and sufficient for the manufacturing of the product (workshop, subcontractor)
- Carry out the follow-up of subcontractors, the follow-up of manufacturing
- Write integration procedures and carry out integration follow-up
- Carry out requests for prices for mechanical parts
- Report work status (ETC) at Capa-Charge meetings
- Report technical difficulties, conflicting requirements and propose solutions
- Provide concrete and constructive ideas for improvement for the effectiveness of
- the design office
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Draughtsman/Designer or Industrial Engineer with a focus on mechanical/electromechanics
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Mastery of 3D design and drawing software, ideally CATIA V5.
- Knowledge of treatments
- Drawing / Functional dimensioning (tolerance) and dimensional budget
- Be able to identify critical dimensions to be verified by metrology
- Be able to design and implement layouts
- Know how to manage sets in Catia
- Fluent in French
